German State Scholarships

Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarship
The Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarship is a scholarship for German and international students to enable them to study in Germany.
The scholarship includes free board and lodgings at a student hostel, which is located on one of Humboldt University’s campuses.
The scholarship also covers €200 per month for your living expenses (including travel costs), medical insurance, language courses and special interest classes. Grants are up to a maximum of €3,000 for two semesters of studies.
To be eligible you must have completed or be about to complete your first year of university-level education. You must be under 27 years old by 1 January 2015 and not have previously studied in Germany with a DAAD grant.
You must not hold dual citizenship with any other country apart from Germany or Austria. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of English and/or German, as well as good grades from their previous studies. This scholarship is available for all subject areas except medicine, dentistry and veterinary science.
